Deep Tissue Massage, At Your Door
Slow, deliberate pressure for the tension that never quite lets go
Kimberly brings licensed deep tissue massage to homes across metro Atlanta. Focused work on the deeper layers of muscle and fascia, in your own space, with no drive home afterward to undo it.
What Deep Tissue Massage Actually Does
Deep tissue is not simply a harder Swedish massage. The strokes are slower and more specific, following the grain of the muscle and working down through the layers toward the fascia and the attachments where chronic tension lives. Kimberly spends time warming the tissue first, so by the time the pressure deepens the muscle is ready for it rather than bracing against it.
Her training in Structural Integration shapes how she approaches it. A sore shoulder is often held in place by something else, a tight chest, a hip that sits unevenly, a neck that has learned to compensate. She traces the pattern rather than grinding on the spot that hurts, which is why clients tend to notice the relief lasting past the next morning.

Who Books Deep Tissue
Desk and screen workers
Neck, upper back and forearm tension from long hours at a computer. Usually the most common reason someone books this session.
Chronic tightness
Shoulders that never drop, a low back that is always a little guarded, hips that feel stuck after sitting. The pattern that stretching alone never seems to reach.
Recovering athletes
Runners, lifters and weekend competitors who want specific work on the muscle groups their training loads most. See also sports massage.
What a Session Looks Like
Check in
A few minutes on what is bothering you, where it started and how much pressure you like. Deep does not have to mean painful.
Layered work
The session starts broad and warm, then narrows onto the areas that need it. You can speak up at any point and the pressure adjusts.
Aftercare
Water, a stretch or two to keep things moving, and kinesiology taping if an area would benefit from support between sessions.
Deep Tissue Massage FAQ
No. The goal is effective pressure, not pain. Some areas will feel intense while they release, and you may be a little tender the next day, but you should never need to hold your breath to get through it. Kimberly checks in throughout and adjusts to what your body allows.
Deep tissue focuses on releasing chronic tension patterns anywhere in the body. Sports massage is organised around your training, with stretching and recovery work for the muscles you load most. Many sessions blend the two, and Kimberly will suggest which fits once she hears what is going on.
For a stubborn pattern, two or three sessions a couple of weeks apart usually makes a clear difference, then monthly keeps it from creeping back. Once-off sessions still help, they simply do not hold as long.
Only a clear space roughly eight feet by four. Kimberly brings the table, linens, oils and music, and sets up and packs away herself.
