Lymphatic Drainage Massage, At Home
Gentle, rhythmic work that helps the body clear what it is holding
Lymphatic drainage is light, precise and surprisingly effective. Kimberly brings it to your home, which matters most in the days after surgery or when swelling makes a trip across Atlanta the last thing you want.
How Lymphatic Drainage Works
The lymphatic system has no pump of its own. It relies on movement, breathing and muscle contraction to move fluid, which is why swelling builds when the body is still or recovering. Manual lymphatic drainage uses very light, stretching strokes in a specific sequence, always toward the lymph nodes, to encourage that flow.
It does not feel like a typical massage. The pressure is feather-light and the rhythm is slow, and the effect is often noticed later that day rather than on the table: less puffiness, lighter limbs, better sleep. Kimberly plans the sequence around where fluid is collecting and what caused it.

Who Books Lymphatic Drainage
Post-surgical recovery
Cosmetic and orthopaedic procedures alike, once your surgeon has cleared manual lymphatic work. Having it at home during recovery is the whole point.
Swelling and inflammation
Legs and ankles that swell by evening, puffiness after travel, or chronic inflammation that other approaches have not touched.
General wellness
Clients who book it seasonally or alongside deeper work to support circulation and immune function.
What a Session Looks Like
Medical check-in
What is causing the swelling, any recent procedures, and anything your provider has said. Lymphatic work has clear contraindications and Kimberly checks for them first.
Clearing the pathways
The session starts near the lymph nodes and works outward, opening the route before encouraging fluid toward it.
Rest and hydration
Water afterward matters more than usual. Kimberly will tell you what to expect over the next day or two.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage FAQ
No. It is one of the gentlest forms of bodywork. The pressure is about the weight of a hand resting on skin. If it feels like a deep massage, it is not lymphatic drainage.
Only with clearance from your surgeon, and most give it within the first week or two. Bring their instructions and Kimberly will work within them. She does not work directly on incisions or over compression garments without approval.
For post-surgical swelling, a short series over two to four weeks is typical. For general swelling or wellness, one session shows what it can do and you can go from there.
Anyone with an active infection, untreated heart failure, kidney problems, an acute clot or certain cancers should not book without medical advice. Mention your health history when booking.
